hope all had good christmas

i will post some of the pressies and cards i made a bit later. lappy on go slow today.
i am going to be doing some glass painting later as gifts for tomorrow nights party! a glass a couple as not got huge amount stock anymore. or glass paints as lent them out and never got them returned. *sighs*
HAPPY NEW YEAR to one and all. hope the next year is a better one than this. lost too many dear friends most whom much much too young.

calendar photos

Advent calendar

made a friends young lass an advent calendar with a difference.
using the milk carton die from stamping up i cut out 26 dies
making up the boxes was fun.... by time i got to 24 folding and glueing i had had enough.
in each of the boxes an arrangement of goodies were added. be it money, candy canes, choco balls in puddings, snowballs , snowmen or santas, also used lindet golden bears and bells too.
kept the decorating simple with stickers and die cuts as its for 9 yr old and not sure how long they last. also because it was a last minute idea time was a huge factor!
used the big bite to make holes and used ribbon for few to close the boxes but used mainly brads, this again was due to time factor.
was told the recipient was well impressed and couldnt wait for the morning to open her box!!
that was thanks enough

cant wait to do it again next year but will be more orginised this time. maybe not do a sweetie one but tree hanging bits or gather the trial samples of make up that likes avon do. and hair bits and make it totally girlie.
the ideas are endless. .....

goodie bags for halloween,

made 3 goodie bags for 3 special little girls this year.
used xcut dies to make the toppers.
food presatation bags from lakelands shop
quickut dies for witches hat and spider
cord from local craft department
goodies were sweets and because a friend dont like their daughter to have lots sweets hers contained a extra gift crafting one. what else hehe.

cut the toppers using the larger 2 of the pack. only to discover i ran out staples. so i cut out the smallest of the dies in the middle. had to line them up for it to work which had its moments.

decorated the toppers wth suitable dies. did each different.
also added some halloween table convetti into the bags for extra sparkle.

these bags can be addapted for any situation.
imagine easter.... eggs... sweets....etc
or christmas. navy and white/ reds and greens with gold cord

on a smaller scale wedding favors with geust names doubles up as place settings

2nd of the male cards

bazzil bling,papermaina, ms punch and peeloffs,
taken a piece of card 6inch by 12 inch and folded in half.
folded top half down to make a triangle, this is the card face.
covered bottom card with the paper. add strip of card across bottom and i added the peeloffs to this.
added the twisted decoupage to the card face.

twisted decoupage sheet of golf and cricket. paper was from a freebe at somepoint. diecuts are from quickuts and peeloffs,
i like making male cards.

bad blogger

been a bad blogger sorry. in my defence i have been trying to old it all together here!
i miss working, i miss the little shop.
its so hard to find  job its not for want of trying.

ok some will say im very trying.

today been hunting for a new job. after i was sacked last week.
dont ask. i had a horrible boss who seriously need to learn british employment law. i miss the customers but im no longer stressed. im happier and skint.

life has a way of sorting itself out.

spent saturday at craftbuddies crop just before coltishall. made couple cards will put on here soon.. always a pleasure to see karen and the ladies. learnt something new how to play with. tim holtz inks. must get some when i have a job.
